Edged by a glistening stretch of the Missouri River, Sioux City historically played a pivotal role in Westward expansion with associated sights that today, along with river cruises and local hiking trails, draw in a steady stream of travelers.
Camp Kalama is a little oasis sitting beside the Interstate.
The Camp Ground sits beside the banks of the Kalama River; which flows into the Columbia River just a short distance away. The Camp Sites are nested among the Tall Oaks on large areas of lawn.
We are close to the Columbia and next to the Kalama River so there is water for every type of boating and Fishing. We are also very close to Mt. St. Helens, a must see, for those who have not yet had a chance to visit the centers. Plus we are not far from the Coast and Long Beach and other interesting sites. We are 45 minutes from Portland. Remember that the Rose Festival in the Spring is a must to see. We are also only two and one half hours from Seattle (The Emerald City) and the Farmers Market, Space Needle and other renowned sites.
